Kemovan Wooden Sanding Block
We all know how your fingers can start to ache after an hour of sanding edges by hand – and how quickly an ordinary piece of sandpaper gets crumpled and worn out. The Kemovan wooden sanding block puts an end to that frustration – it firmly clamps the sandpaper in place, provides stable support for your hand, and keeps a consistent angle. The result? Perfectly smooth edges without cramped fingers or unnecessary material waste. You can choose from three shapes, depending on the details you are working on.
Main advantages:
- Saves material and money: Simply cut the sandpaper into an exact strip and secure it under the stainless steel screw. The paper does not crease or tear, and you can use it down to the very last millimeter.
- Solid beech wood and stainless steel: Forget fragile plastic. The holder is made from solid beech with durable stainless steel clamping, so it fits comfortably in your hand and withstands years of daily use.
- Firm grip for a precise angle: The solid block helps you maintain the same angle while sanding edges. No unwanted rounding where you need a sharp, straight edge.
Who it is for and what it is ideal for:
Recommended for anyone who insists on perfectly finished and polished edges on belts, collars, wallets, and bags. Choose from three shapes:
- Square #KEM/SH/SQUARE (45 x 45 x 21 mm): A classic for comfortable surface sanding of straight edges and longer sections of leather. Can also be used for general wood sanding.
- Trapezoid #KEM/SH/TRAP (65 x 28 x 18 mm): Thanks to its beveled sides, it is perfect for chamfering edges at an angle and for detailed work.
- Wedge #KEM/SH/WEDGE (82 x 30 x 19.5 mm): The extended shape with a beveled tip fits comfortably in the hand and reaches tight spots or inner curves with ease.
Things to keep in mind:
- Supplied without sandpaper: The package includes only the wooden holder itself. Sandpaper in your desired grit must be purchased separately and cut to size.
- Not suitable for large surfaces: The tool is primarily designed for edges and smaller details. For sanding large leather panels, the block is too small.
Tip for comfortable work:
To achieve perfectly smooth, mirror-like edges, we recommend starting with a coarser sandpaper to level out any unevenness, then using an edge beveler to break the edge, and finishing with very fine sandpaper in combination with #Tokonole CL 120g or #2620-01 for the final polish.
