Collar Buckles – what to choose?

Our popular dog collar buckle does two things in one. Its extended portion serves as a tri-glide, allowing for quick and easy collar length adjustment. It comes in zinc alloy, cast brass and cast stainless steel, with inner widths from 10 to 50 mm. Simply choose the width and color.

Parameter guide

What the parameters mean and how to choose the right values.

Inner width indicates the passage size for a strap or belt. Choose hardware with an inner width equal to or greater than your strap width.

The dimension of the whole piece, end to end. It tells you how much room the fitting takes on the finished item; whether it fits the webbing depends on the inner width. The whole piece is measured, not just its working part, so two pieces with the same inner width can differ in length.

Prong diameter of the buckle – must match the hole in the collar. For active dogs, choose a thicker prong that better withstands pulling and repeated fastening.

The space between the bar and the prong of the buckle – determines the maximum material thickness you can thread through.

Our measurements already include a technical tolerance for prong movement. Still, we recommend not relying on a tight fit – a little extra clearance ensures smooth and comfortable operation.
