Martingale Chains: what the parameters mean and how to choose the right values.
The dimension of the whole piece, end to end. It tells you how much room the fitting takes on the finished item. The whole piece is measured, not just its working part, so two pieces that look similar can still differ in length.
The main dimension of the piece by which goods in this category are normally ordered: on chains the length, otherwise the overall size. It is not the inner dimension for webbing.
Link thickness defines the wire diameter used for chain links. It affects durability and appearance.
