Parameter guide

Continuous Zippers: what the parameters mean and how to choose the right values.

The zip number, that is the established size of the teeth: 3 is finer, 5 coarser and stronger. The slider and the ends have to carry the same number as the tape, otherwise they do not fit together.

The colour of the zip teeth, not of the tape. On metal zips the two are combined: a black tape with gold teeth is a common pairing, so pick the colour in both parameters separately.

The colour of the zip's textile tape, not of the teeth. The tape is what shows along the whole length of the item, so you match it to the webbing or leather; the teeth have a parameter of their own.
