D-Rings – what to choose?
Welded D-rings made of nickel-plated steel are used for harnesses, collars and saddlery within the stated load rating. Cast zinc or brass D-rings have no visible weld and suit products where a smooth appearance matters. For use in damp conditions, choose stainless steel or brass. An alternative is plastic D-rings.

Inner width indicates the passage size for a strap or belt. Choose hardware with an inner width equal to or greater than your strap width.
Inner height indicates the height of the passage through the hardware. It determines the maximum material thickness (or multiple layers) you can thread through.
The diameter of the round stock the piece is bent or formed from. Thicker stock takes more load, but eats more room in the slot and prints through more under the webbing. It is not added to the inner dimension once: the outer size is the inner one plus twice this diameter.
