Bag Clasps & Closures – what to choose?
Our bag clasps come in a range of sizes, shapes and finishes – from simple bag clasps through swing bag locks and complete clasp sets to aluminium G-hooks. Depending on the type, they are fitted with rivets, screws or bending prongs; the G-hook is threaded onto the webbing.
When choosing, pay attention above all to the dimensions of the clasp and the thickness of the material you want to fit it into. With some types, leather that is too thick can make assembly impossible.

The width of the piece itself, that is how much room it takes across the finished item. Compare it with the width of the collar or strap: an ornament wider than the strap overhangs and catches on things.
The outer height of the piece, that is how far it stands out on the finished item. On ornaments and clasps it decides whether the item still folds and whether it catches on things; it is not tied to the strap size.
