Parameter guide

What the parameters of magnetic snaps mean and how to choose the right values.

The outer diameter defines the overall visible size of the magnetic snap after installation. Select it according to the width and proportions of the product so that the fastening looks balanced and fits the other hardware.

The shank length indicates the material thickness suitable for the magnetic clasp. Choose it with a slight excess over the material thickness (about 0.5–1 mm) so it closes properly and holds firmly after riveting.

Rivet head diameter indicates the size of the rivet used to attach the magnetic clasp to the material. For soft or heavily loaded joints, choose a larger head (or add a washer) to spread the pressure more evenly and prevent tearing around the hole.
