Eyelets: what the parameters mean and how to choose the right values.

The eyelet height indicates the length of the barrel (the part passing through the material). For proper setting, choose a height roughly 1–2 mm longer than the material thickness.

The outer flange diameter defines the visible size of the eyelet after setting. It affects both the appearance and the grip strength. A larger flange distributes pressure better and reduces the risk of tearing — recommended for soft or multilayer materials.

Inner diameter of the grommet defines the hole size after pressing. Select it according to the rope or cord diameter.

The manufacturer's catalogue number. It is there so you can look the same item up in the maker's own catalogue or at another supplier; to order from us you do not need it, our product code applies. The number is not translated and on some items it carries an extra note in brackets.

The number of pieces in one selling unit. Small hardware is not sold singly but by the pack, so this figure tells you how many rivets or eyelets you get. Use it to compare prices between items as well, rather than the price per pack.
