An automatic belt buckle for 35 mm belt strips creates a fastening with no visible prong and no holes. The belt circumference adjusts in 5 mm increments, giving the wearer more precise sizing than the standard 25 mm hole spacing on traditional belts.
Installing the Toothed Strip
The mechanism requires a plastic toothed strip (17 mm wide, 200 mm long), which is included in the package. The strip is inserted on the flesh side of the leather. For accurate positioning before stitching, we recommend using a quality contact adhesive e.g. Renia 110 221. The strip must then be firmly stitched around its perimeter.

- Easier on the material: No holes and no prong means the main point of mechanical stress is gone. This significantly reduces the risk of the leather stretching or tearing at the fastening point.
- Micro-adjustment throughout the day: The stepped mechanism allows discreet loosening or tightening as needed – after a meal or during long periods of sitting, for example. The lock releases with a press of the side lever.
- Suit-friendly: A smooth belt strip with no holes keeps the look of the outfit clean. This makes the system a great choice for dress and formal belts.
Limitations and Notes
- Strip dependency: The buckle cannot be used on a plain smooth belt strip. It always requires the extra work of gluing and stitching in the included toothed component.
- Vulnerable to dirt: The internal mechanical latch does not tolerate dust or mud. If it gets clogged, the release lever can jam. This belt is therefore not suited for work or outdoor use.
