    Handles normal everyday wear. At exposed points — where regular friction or contact with other metals occurs — traces of wear may appear over time.

  • Corrosion protection

    None

    The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.

  • Nickel

    No

    The finish contains no nickel in any layer. A safe choice for allergy sufferers and for products intended for direct contact with sensitive skin.

  • Aging

    Gradually dulls

    Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.

Process Mechanical Surface is modified physically — by grinding, polishing or brushing. Adds no extra layer; only changes the structure and texture of the material surface itself.

How brushing is made

Mechanically: the surface is ground with fine brushes into a satin texture. Nothing is added – only the surface structure changes.

What it gives the product

A muted satin finish without mirror reflections; small scratches from wear blend into the texture.

When to choose it and when not to

Most often on stainless steel – belt buckles with an understated look. On its own it adds no protection – on stainless steel it doesn't need to.

How it ages

The look barely changes with use – new marks blend into the texture.

Minimalist belts and technical products; its glossy counterpart is polishing.
