Resistant to strong and repeated pulling — even if the dog suddenly dashes after a cat. Holds shape under sustained and long-term load.
Corrosion resistance

Excellent

Withstands permanent contact with water, moisture and sweat without change. Needs no protective coating and looks and functions the same after months of outdoor use.

Fully waterproof

Wet it, submerge it, leave it in water — fresh water will not harm it. No drying or treatment needed; water does not affect function or appearance.

Weight	Medium	Weight is noticeable — more sensitive animals will notice it. For miniature and toy breeds, consider whether it is still comfortable.
Allergy risk	No risk	Contains no nickel or other known contact allergens and does not release them during wear. Safe for sensitive skin without restriction.
Aging	Stable	Appearance practically does not change over time. Colour, gloss and surface texture remain the same even after months of regular use.
Maintenance	Maintenance-free	No special care needed. Just rinse with water or wipe with a cloth — that is all.

What cast stainless steel is

Stainless steel cast into moulds. Casting allows solid, rounded shapes – hardware you can't make from wire or sheet.

For shape-complex pieces that keep stainless steel's corrosion resistance: saddlery O-rings and D-rings, flat keepers, bridle buckles.

Where you want solid, rounded hardware with no coating and no maintenance. For permanent use at sea, choose 316 stainless steel instead.

Stable like any stainless steel – no care, no change.

Castings are polished after casting – which is why cast stainless hardware has smooth edges that are gentle on leather and webbing.
