Heavy-Duty Reducing Loop 25 mm -> 40 mm, Black
Code:
2300EH/25/38 BK
Availability:
In Stock 829 pcs
This cast webbing reduction loop made from zinc alloy connects 25 mm and 40 mm wide webbing. It creates a single solid, weld-free connection, replacing the more complicated process of stitching two separate rings together.
Construction and specifications
- Higher load capacity: The zinc alloy casting provides a load capacity of 160 kg. Compared with the original version, this is an increase of 100 kg.
- Weight: The buckle weighs just 13 grams (only 4 grams more than its predecessor).
- Reinforced centre bar: Helps the connection hold its shape and reduces webbing twisting under one-sided load.
- Smooth openings: Rounded edges reduce friction and help prevent wear on the webbing or leather threaded through the buckle.
Limitations and notes for manufacturers
- Shock loads: The stated strength applies to steady static pulling force. A sudden jerk from a large dog on a long line can quickly bring the load close to this limit. Always verify the safety of the complete product for heavier breeds with your own testing.
- Permanent connection: The buckle does not allow the parts to be disconnected quickly. If your design requires this, replace it with a combination of a snap hook and D-ring.
- Specified widths: The fixed spacing of the openings requires materials with exact widths of 25 mm and 40 mm.
Compatible materials and applications
The buckle is particularly useful for making handbags, satchels, backpacks, or dog collars. For assemblies requiring high resistance to moisture, we recommend combining it with waterproof webbings in the corresponding widths (25 and 40 mm).
