Use these metal Chicago screws for belts and collars or to join two materials. Each screw has two parts: a hollow post with an internal thread and a solid head, which works as a closed nut, and a matching screw that tightens the joint. A screwed joint comes apart quickly, for example when you change a belt buckle. The price is for the whole pack (100 pcs).
How to choose the right screw length?
The total thickness of the joined material decides, whether it is leather, webbing or anything else. The length of the screw post (value B in the table) should be 2 mm less than that thickness.
Note: These screws have a special finish that is created through a very labor-intensive hand process. Each piece has to be screwed together by hand, plated individually, then hand-polished and finally unscrewed again one by one. This manual handling of every single piece increases labor costs – and with it, the final price.
Tip: To keep the joint from working loose over time, put a drop of thread-locking adhesive #1918997 on the thread before you screw it together.
