100% vegetable-tanned leather from high-quality cowhide,
dyed, but delivered
without surface treatment and unsoftened. Thanks to its firmness and less flexible structure, it is ideal for saddlery, strap-making, and leatherworking products where durability and quality are essential.
You can further
decorate the leather according to your needs. Because the color is not fixed from the factory, we strongly recommend treating the grain side with a suitable
finish after completing your product. This will prevent potential color bleeding, while giving the product its final look and long-lasting durability.
This leather is fully comparable in quality to premium-grade hides. The key difference lies in the character of the grain side, which reflects the natural life of cattle raised in semi-wild conditions in South America.
On the grain side, you will
commonly find branding marks (a typical feature of Argentine hides), and occasionally minor imperfections such as
scratches or
holes. For this reason, it is important to account for an average yield of approximately
70–89%.
If your project requires a completely clean grain surface without branding marks (for example, when cutting large panels without the need for layout planning), we recommend choosing our
premium leather, sourced from Czech farms where cattle are marked using more considerate methods.
