Surface finish

Look Natural No surface finish — the bare material in its natural colour and structure. Appearance depends entirely on what the part is made from.
Corrosion protection None The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
Nickel No The finish contains no nickel in any layer. A safe choice for allergy sufferers and for products intended for direct contact with sensitive skin.

What the label means

Bare material with no coating – the look and durability are down to the material alone.

What it gives the product

It adds nothing and hides nothing: with stainless steel and brass no finish is needed; with leather it's simply the natural surface.

When to choose it

Materials that don't need protection. With uncoated steel, expect corrosion – that's why we leave it bare only on some tools.
