The Kong Frog Nude Strong tactical snap hook offers a breaking load of approx. 2,440 kg at a weight of just 70 g. The Italian mechanism is designed for heavy-duty equipment and tracking lines for powerful working breeds.
Material and Features
- Self-locking system: the jaws snap shut instantly when pressed onto the D-ring of a collar.
- Two-step opening: the mechanism releases only when both side levers are pressed simultaneously, significantly reducing the risk of accidental opening.
- Fixed 25 mm eye: the bottom loop securely holds the webbing in place and prevents it from sliding to one side. The snap hook does not include a swivel.
- 13 mm jaw opening: accommodates metal rings, other hardware, and ropes up to this diameter.
Verified Parameters and Limits
The 2,440 kg figure refers to the laboratory breaking load in the longitudinal axis, not the safe working load. The snap hook is not certified as personal protective equipment (PPE) and is not intended for personal fall protection, work at height, or climbing.

- Lower eye 25 × 6 mm: the opening is designed for 25 mm webbing. Its 6 mm height provides enough room to easily thread both standard polypropylene and thicker waterproof webbings through it.
