Reflective Webbing – Orange
Looking for the ideal material for products where safety and visibility come first? This polypropylene webbing with a woven-in reflective strip is a perfect choice for dog gear and outdoor equipment. The reflective element provides excellent visibility at dusk or at night, which dog owners will especially appreciate during evening walks.
- Safety first: The reflective strip is woven directly into the webbing, ensuring long service life even under demanding outdoor use.
- High strength and low weight: Despite the added safety element, the webbing maintains excellent tensile strength and weather resistance.
- Production-friendly packaging: We supply the webbing in 50 m rolls with a guaranteed maximum of 4 joins per full roll. This minimizes cutting waste and supports smooth production.
- Custom orders: For quantities over 2,000 m, we can produce any color combinations exactly to your requirements.
- Ideal for active dogs: The material does not absorb water, is easy to clean, and is flexible enough to stay comfortable while still holding its shape.

Craft isn't just about feel – it's about understanding the material and the process. If it works in my workshop, it'll work in yours.
Reflective polypropylene webbing is a specialized technical material that requires different handling than traditional leather. If a product with a reflective element is meant to look professional and deliver its safety function, it is essential to follow the correct stitching and finishing technique.
Stitching and joints: For webbings, stitching is the best and safest type of joint - specifically the X-box stitch (a stitched rectangle with an X inside). This cross-stitching is what prevents the webbing from tearing out even under extreme load. I do not recommend riveting for webbing - a rivet does not anchor as well in plastic fibers and it can also disrupt the reflective line in an unattractive way.
Save your hole punches. Never punch holes in the webbing with a standard leather punch, because plastic fibers dull the tool incredibly fast. Holes for buckle tongues in these materials should always be melted with a soldering iron or a hot tip. Because the reflective element contains specific fibers, melt the hole smoothly so all fibers fuse properly and do not fray.
Heat-sealing is a must. Every cut edge must be sealed immediately with a lighter or a hot knife. Without this, the webbing will start falling apart in your hands before you even make the first stitch.
I evaluate objectively what others only guess.
