Firefighter Belt Buckle 54 mm – Nickel Plated

The double-prong steel buckle with an inner width of 54 mm is designed for the production of wide work and firefighter belts, where it’s important to distribute the load across two points and keep the belt stable along its full width. Thanks to its welded construction, it’s well suited for more robust products made from firmer leather, where a standard lightweight buckle simply isn’t enough.

Where a double-prong buckle makes sense

• Two prongs distribute the load across two points: This helps a wide belt keep its shape and reduces one-sided stress on both the leather and the fastening holes.
• Ideal for wide belts: The 54 mm inner width matches more heavy-duty belts, where it’s important that the buckle sits evenly across the full width and the belt doesn’t twist during wear.
• Welded joints: The construction makes sense wherever a solid, play-free connection is needed in load-bearing areas.

With this buckle, you need to account for precise assembly. The double-prong system requires accurately punched parallel rows of holes. If the spacing is off, the prongs won’t seat properly when fastening, and the buckle won’t perform as intended. Here, millimeters matter, so it pays to give the preparation extra attention. For the most accurate result, we recommend using a suitable punching tool, such as #KEM/LSHP40.

This buckle is best suited for wide, heavy-duty belts, where fastening stability and even load distribution are key. It’s not the right choice for standard narrow belts or products where quick fastening and simple assembly are the priority.
