Belt buckle 40 mm – Matte Black

A matte black buckle with two prongs for a 40 mm strap. The surface has no shine, so on a finished belt it stays discreet and suits work where the hardware shouldn’t be the first thing a customer notices.

• Two prongs hold the strap at two points – the pull spreads across two holes, the strap twists less under the buckle and the holes last longer than under a single prong.
• Low frame – total length is 29 mm, so the buckle takes up little room at the end of the strap. On pieces with a short strap end that is more practical than tall frames of over 70 mm.
• Prong ø 4 mm – punch the holes with a 4 mm hole punch #KEM/LSHP40 in two parallel rows at the same spacing. Uneven spacing is the most common reason a double prong buckle only fastens with a struggle.
• Zinc die casting in matte black – the black is a surface finish, not the colour of the material, so it can wear through where it rubs constantly against the leather. Where the hardware has to stay unchanged, go for stainless steel.

The buckle has no roller, the strap slides over a fixed bar and on very stiff leather that means more resistance when tightening. The screw post that matches in colour is #SPH-4 BNP.
