Angelus Acrylic Finisher is a professional acrylic top coat designed to seal and protect dyed leather surfaces. This water-based finish dries into a continuous, highly flexible film that “locks in” the color and helps protect it from cracking, peeling, and everyday environmental wear.
The Matte version gives your piece a modern, deep-matte look with no unwanted glare—while keeping the material’s natural texture intact. It’s an essential step for professional restorations and custom work where a clean, understated finish is the goal.

- Color lock and protection: Effectively seals in Angelus pigments, helps prevent rub-off, and improves surface resistance to scratches and dirt.
- High elasticity: Designed to move with the material. It stays flexible even in bend-heavy areas (like sneakers) and won’t readily crack or flake.

Recommended application: Apply only after the final coat of dye has fully dried. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so the matting agents mix evenly. Apply in thin, even layers with a sponge, soft cloth, brush, or spray gun. Before regular wear or heavy use, allow the finish to fully cure for at least 24 hours.

With the High Gloss version, it is all about achieving that unmistakable “wow effect.” It is the finishing touch for formal shoes or design-led accessories that are meant to be noticed. But be aware – high gloss on leather does not forgive mistakes. Every speck of dust, every particle, every uneven spot will be visible, so take real care when applying it.
For the deepest possible shine I recommend applying several very thin coats. This builds an optical depth that looks absolutely stunning.
Whether you use a sponge or a brush, work smoothly and with a light hand. The biggest mistake is going back over the same area repeatedly once the finish starts to set – that is exactly how you “whip” bubbles into it or create visible streaks that will not look good once fully cured.
The most important thing? Truly allow the full 24 hours. The finish needs time to chemically cure so the leather surface becomes genuinely resistant to scratches and fingerprints.
