The TandyPro® knife arrives with two blades: a deep curve 0.8 x 5.5 cm with a 2.2 cm radius and a narrow point, and a straight grind 0.8 x 6 cm on a slanted edge. You switch between them mid-job. Solid brass jaws hold the blade and the aluminium key tightens them.
One thing to watch when you fit a blade: it goes in the narrow groove.
The walnut handle is turned to 12 cm, so it sits against your palm instead of riding on your fingertips.
Cut on a plastic #3464-00 or rubber #3461-01 pad and the edge keeps its bite longer than it does on a hard bench. A replacement pair of blades, curved and straight, sells under #3596-10.
