Firefighter Belt Buckle 54 mm – Stainless Steel
Stainless steel double-prong buckle with an internal width of 54 mm, perfect for making wide work and firefighter belts where you need to distribute the load across two points and keep the belt stable along its entire width. Thanks to its welded construction, it’s ideal for more robust products made from tougher leather, where a regular lightweight buckle just won’t cut it.
Why a double-prong buckle makes sense
- Two prongs distribute the load: This helps a wide belt keep its shape and reduces one-sided stress on both the leather and the fastening holes.
- Made for wide belts: The 54 mm internal width fits more robust belts, making sure the buckle sits flush across the whole width and the belt doesn’t twist unnecessarily while worn.
- Stainless steel: The material handles moisture, everyday grime, and frequent use with ease—and it’s simple to maintain.
- Welded joints: The construction makes sense wherever you need a solid unit with no play in the stressed connections.
This buckle requires precise installation. The double-prong system needs two parallel rows of holes punched with exact spacing. If the holes aren’t perfectly aligned, the prongs won’t seat properly and the buckle won’t work as intended. Here, millimeters matter—so it’s worth taking extra care in preparation. For best results, we recommend using a suitable punching tool, such as #KEM/LSHP40.
This buckle is mainly suited for wide and sturdy belts where fastening stability and even force distribution are key. It’s not suitable for regular narrow belts or products where quick fastening and easy assembly are the main priorities.
