Renia Leather Dye 100 ml: Black
When it comes to dyeing luxury leathers, you want guaranteed perfection. Renia Absolute Black delivers – just one coat gives your leather an intense, deep black with no streaks or blotches. Its special formula, free of solid pigments, ensures the dye penetrates deep into the leather fibers, so fading later on isn’t an issue.
- One coat is enough: No more layering coat after coat – save time and material.
- No streaks or blotches: The dye soaks evenly into every fiber, so the result looks professional every time.
- Long-lasting durability: Once dry, the color won’t peel, rub off, or age. Your creations will look great even after lots of use.
- Flexible application: Suitable for brush, dauber, or airbrush – the perfect choice for precise edge dyeing on luxury wallets, handbags, or collars.
- Works on most smooth leathers: Adheres beautifully not only to vegetable-tanned, but also to most chrome-tanned leathers.
How to Use Renia Dye
Always thoroughly degrease oily or waxed leathers before application – this ensures perfect adhesion. We recommend wearing protective gloves, as the dye is intense and will easily stain your skin. Once dry, you can apply a top coat for the desired glossy or matte finish.
For best results, use our wool daubers (small #3443-00, medium #3445-00, or large #43081-000).
With Renia Absolute Black, your results will be as precise as your craftsmanship.

Craft isn't just about feel – it's about understanding the material and the process. If it works in my workshop, it'll work in yours.
I started testing the black dye from Renia with high expectations. The manufacturer promised a deep black without blotches, and I wanted to see if that was just marketing. I dyed a collar made of vegetable-tanned cowhide, and the result pleasantly surprised me.
The color takes beautifully on the first stroke – no soaking, no patches. I used a classic wool dauber, and still got a smooth surface. The black is deep, with no grey-blue tint. And most importantly, it holds well, doesn’t rub off, and still looks great even with regular wear.
Just be careful with your hands! The pigmentation is strong, and without gloves you’ll stain them better than the leather. But for me, a great product that’s definitely worth trying. I only wish there were more shades.
I evaluate objectively what others only guess.
