A double-sided honing board covered with high-quality leather ensures that the blades of all saddlery tools are always perfectly sharp. One side of the board is covered with coarse leather to achieve a sharp edge and other, fine side is used for fine sharpening finish. Whether we hone an edge, cutting knife or scissors, we hone always with the blade edge never against it (there is a danger of cutting through the leather). We recommend using a polishing paste or rouge, which you can find among the recommended products.
