Double cap saddlery rivet with bite (a very useful notch near the tip of the stem) that will speed up the riveting process, primarily for belts, collars and harnesses, and increase the strength of the join. Double cap rivets are used where both sides of the rivet will be visible, or where a rivet comes in contact with other surfaces (purse and other handles, leashes, collars, harnesses, …). The price listed is for the entire package (1000 pcs)!
To set using the #3990-00 hand press, use the #3997-20 Z die. For hand setting, the #8101-20 Z, #RS/6x100 setter is used. The size of piston or setter must be selected to match the size of the rivet. Or you can find the proper riveting tool among the products recommended below. The correct tool will be displayed for the rivet size that you choose.
How to chose the correct-length rivet?
Whether we work with leather, webbing or fabric, the thickness of the material is always the deciding factor. For a the rivet to spread properly, choose one that is about 2–3 mm longer than the total thickness of the material. For rivet length see dimension "B" in the table.
