Want a rope end that doesn’t fray or look like a last-minute fix with tape? This brass cord end cap hides the cut or melted end of your rope inside metal, keeps it in shape, and gives you a neat finish for leashes, collars, bags, handles, or decorative hangings.

Corrosion resistance: rain, mud, humidity—brass shrugs it off. Unlike plastic, it won’t crack in the cold or go soft in the heat.

How to use: Cut the rope straight, and if you like, lightly melt the end. Degrease both the inside of the end cap and the rope. Glue with a hot glue gun or trusty Loctite #8142575. Let it cure no ""let’s see if I can pull it off right away"" impatience.

I see this end tip as a clean way to finish a rope. It hides an unattractive cut end, reduces fraying, and helps the rope keep its shape.

Brass works well because it is strong and stands up to everyday knocks and moisture without any issues. A metal end tip also adds a detail that makes the product look more premium and pairs nicely with the rest of the hardware.

A bonded joint is only as good as the surface preparation. Degrease both the inside of the end tip and the rope itself, and give the adhesive enough time to fully cure.
