Parameter guide

What the parameters of button studs mean and how to choose the right values.

The head diameter specifies the visible size of the button stud after tightening. A larger head ensures a more stable joint and better pressure distribution, while a smaller one provides a lighter look.

The base diameter defines the size of the bottom supporting part of the screw rivet. A larger base distributes pressure more evenly and increases stability, while a smaller one looks finer and suits delicate products.

Overall height is measured from the base to the top of the head and determines how much the rivet protrudes above the surface. Choose it according to the material thickness to avoid snagging – too short may prevent secure fastening, too tall will stick out excessively.

Indicates the material thickness suitable for the screw rivet. The correct length ensures that the thread engages securely, leaving 2–3 turns in contact after tightening. For added joint security, we recommend using thread-lock adhesive.
