    Withstands even sea and salt water without damage. Go ahead with it into the sea, onto the beach or anywhere regular materials corrode or fall apart.

    Low weight that does not restrict movement. Not perceived by the dog or owner even during all-day wear.

Allergy risk No risk Contains no nickel or other known contact allergens and does not release them during wear. Safe for sensitive skin without restriction.
Aging Minor changes Over time slight dulling or minor surface changes may occur. This does not affect function, but is visible on closer inspection.
Maintenance Maintenance-free No special care needed. Just rinse with water or wipe with a cloth — that is all.

What PVC is

The base of our waterproof webbing: a strong textile core coated in a layer of PVC. The core carries the pull, the surface keeps out water, mud and odour.

Why we use it

Waterproof webbing (smooth, hexa, super grip and reflective) and imitation round leather cord – materials for products that clean up with a single wipe of a cloth.

When to choose it and when to look elsewhere

  • Dogs that swim, mud, everyday use – nothing soaks in, nothing smells.
  • Horses – reins and halters that don't mind rain.

For long hand-held comfort, rubberised cotton is more pleasant; for the lowest price, polypropylene.

How it ages and how to care for it

Wipe or rinse, nothing more needed. It doesn't turn brittle in frost (tested by bending down to −40 °C) and the colour holds even after a season outdoors.

Good to know

The surface doesn't absorb sweat or odour – on the collar of a dog that likes to roll around, you notice that every day.
