    Vintage / patina

    Artificially aged surface with uneven tone and visible patina. Creates the impression of a historical or hand-crafted piece. Each part looks slightly different — by design, not by defect.

  • Abrasion resistance

    Low

    Thin decorative coating that gradually wears through with regular wear and friction. Wear shows fairly quickly at points where buckle or snap contacts the strap, ring or fur.

  • Corrosion protection

    Basic

    Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.

  • Nickel

    No

    The finish contains no nickel in any layer. A safe choice for allergy sufferers and for products intended for direct contact with sensitive skin.

Damp conditions Occasional rain Tolerates contact with water — rain, wet grass, damp hands. With regular soaking the finish ages faster and loses appearance. Better to dry after wetting.
Aging Intentional patina Surface is designed to change over time. Ageing deepens the character of the finish — the product looks different after a year than when new, and that is intentional, not a defect. Each piece ages slightly differently.
Process Chemical Surface is changed by chemical reaction — patination, oxidation or staining. Results in a natural, often uneven appearance that mimics natural ageing of the material.

How antique copper is made

Copper plating with chemical darkening – a warm copper tone with patina in the recesses. Every piece is slightly different, on purpose.

What it gives the product

The warmest tone among our aged finishes – reddish copper against brown leather.

When to choose it and when not to

Rustic leather goods. The layer is thin and the protection basic – skip permanent damp, where stainless steel is the better fit.

How it ages

The patina deepens and darkens – the product matures with use.

What it pairs with

Cognac and dark brown, antique brass on companion pieces, copper rivets.
