    Yes, in interlayer

    Nickel is not on the surface but in the interlayer beneath. As long as the top layer is intact, it will not reach the skin. Once the surface wears through, nickel may be released.

How rose gold is made

An electroplated layer of a gold-copper alloy – the copper gives it a pink tint. There's usually a nickel underlayer beneath.
