## Description and construction

Elegant YKK metal slider with (brass plated) finish, an essential component of every zipper. This type of
slider has a locking function, making it perfectly suited for your premium leather wallets, cases, purses,
bags and luggage. The application is not difficult, simply place the slider at the beginning of the continuous zipper (zipper yardage) and use the stops to close the entire zipper. Choose from 2 size options.

Type of slider: with locking mechanism (lock). Can be used for two-way zippers.

TIP:  The recommended products below include additional components (stops, zippers in the yardage) and tools (pliers) that you will need to assemble the zipper.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates contact with water — rain, wet grass, damp hands. With regular soaking the finish ages faster and loses appearance. Better to dry after wetting.
* Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.
* Thin decorative coating that gradually wears through with regular wear and friction. Wear shows fairly quickly at points where buckle or snap contacts the strap, ring or fur.
* At points of regular friction — typically the buckle edge, snap contact point or strap — the finish gradually wears through and the base material shows beneath.
