## Description and construction

Reflective waterproof webbing with a PVC/TPU coating and a width of 16–25 mm. Its orange color stays vibrant even after seasons of outdoor use, combining exceptional strength with high visibility in low-light conditions and at night. The highly reflective center stripe makes it an excellent choice for manufacturing standard leashes, collars, bridles and horse halters with enhanced safety.

Material and Properties

Strong textile core: maintains its strength under load and does not stretch, so even collars for powerful dogs keep their shape.
Smooth PVC/TPU coating: waterproof, bacteria-resistant and UV stable. It stays flexible even in extreme cold without becoming brittle, tested for flex resistance down to -40 °C.
Easy to clean: simply wipe away mud and dirt with a damp cloth or rinse with water.
No fraying: cut edges stay clean without fraying, so there is no need to seal them with a flame.

Verified Material Performance

Design with confidence using laboratory-tested data rather than estimates. We tested the tensile strength under direct pulling force, while low-temperature flexibility was verified through bending tests. Detailed results for each webbing width are available in the test reports. The material is also certified as safe for prolonged contact with both human and animal skin.

Tensile strength test report (breaking load)
Low-temperature flexibility test report (frost resistance down to -40 °C)
    Safety compliance report

Important for manufacturers: Laboratory values apply to the material before processing. Every hole made for a rivet or buckle pin cuts through the textile core and weakens the webbing at that point. The best practice is simple: use the smallest punch that still fits the rivet shank or buckle tongue, and reinforce highly stressed holes with a metal eyelet. A large, unreinforced hole is usually the first place where the webbing will fail under load.

Recommended Tools and Equipment

Razor Plier: produce clean, straight cuts without deforming the webbing ends.
Punches Ø 3–4 mm: ideal for small rivet and buckle pin holes while minimizing damage to the textile core.
    Punches Ø 5.2–6 mm: use a 5.2 mm punch for E10x5.2 eyelets and a 6 mm punch for E12x6.0.
Strap end punches: create perfectly shaped strap ends every time.
Hand press: provides accurate hole punching and professional eyelet setting.
Nubio Opaco: seals the cut edge, covers the exposed textile core and protects it against moisture and dirt.

Packaging and Roll Length

The webbing is supplied in rolls of 30 m. Each production roll may contain up to 3 factory joins, so the entire length is not always supplied as one continuous piece. If you require longer uninterrupted sections, inspect the roll before cutting.

For orders exceeding 2,000 m, we can arrange custom production in additional color combinations.

⚠️ Important manufacturing note: The reflective center stripe has lower abrasion resistance than the webbing itself. If the webbing is constantly dragged across the ground, sand or gravel, the reflective layer will wear away quickly. For this reason, it is not recommended for long training leads or products exposed to heavy mechanical abrasion.

## Limits and maintenance

* Wet it, submerge it, leave it in water — fresh water will not harm it. No drying or treatment needed; water does not affect function or appearance.
* No special care needed. Just rinse with water or wipe with a cloth — that is all.
* Over time slight dulling or minor surface changes may occur. This does not affect function, but is visible on closer inspection.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Are your waterproof webbings Biothane?

No. Biothane is a registered trademark of the American company BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. and we don't sell their material — our waterproof webbings are our own product.

They are PVC-coated webbings, from 1.5 mm to 6 mm thick depending on the type. You'll find the full specifications, widths and colours on the individual products in the Waterproof Webbings category.
