## Description and construction

The Steel Handle for Punches #211700STP-6 and #211700STP-8 lets you punch by hand, without a press. It has your back whenever you want to swap diameters faster than your colleague can find a hammer. A fit for anyone making custom collars, belts, or leashes.

Solid steel means cleaner holes: The strike goes exactly where you want, so the hole is straighter and the edges are smoother.
Confident grip, even with gloves: The knurled handle won’t slip, whether your hands are sweaty or you’re working in a chilly workshop.
Lightweight and portable: Unlike a big press, the handle is always at hand, easy to pack for a job or a market. Plus, you save money when you don’t need a press.

Sure, manual work is a bit noisier and slower than using a press, especially if you’re making thousands of holes, but for small batches and creative projects, it does the job.

Just a heads-up: punches are not included. To preserve the keen edge of the punches, we recommend using #2015-00 wax and a #3464-00 cutting board.


## Limits and maintenance

* Contact with water can cause corrosion, swelling, mould or other damage. Keep the material dry and dry it promptly if it becomes wet.
* The bare material has no useful corrosion resistance. Choose a protective finish when the product may come into contact with moisture or sweat.
* Regular treatment, oiling or impregnation helps preserve the material. Follow the care instructions for the complete product, because the required method and interval can vary.
* Without protection, both function and appearance deteriorate over time. Typical signs include colour loss, embrittlement or cracking, a rougher surface, rust or white corrosion products.
