## Description and construction

The Kong® trigger snap made from marine bronze doesn’t do compromises: with a load capacity of 170 kg and a safety lock against accidental opening, it protects not only your products but also your reputation. And it still looks so good it could walk the runway at a designer leash show.

Smart safety: The lock stays shut until you say otherwise. You can be sure the snap won’t open on its own during training or in the heat of the moment.
Opens under pressure: Need to release quickly, even if your dog’s pulling like a freight train? No problem the snap opens even under full load. Handy for training, but also in unexpected situations.
Mud and saltwater? No problem: Marine bronze resists corrosion and extreme weather. If you make leashes for rain, mud, or the beach, this is your element.

The snap weighs 70 g and is mainly suitable for medium and large breeds. If you need a lighter option for the smallest dogs, go for aluminum or plastic instead.

## Limits and maintenance

* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
