## Description and construction

Metal sliding bar adjustable buckle slide (square shaped). Used most often as a tightening or shortening component. Excellent for use in making luggage (trunks, backpacks, purses, bags and cases) or sporting (suspension webbing etc.) and canine equipment (collars). Choose from sizes 17–50 mm.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates contact with water — rain, wet grass, damp hands. With regular soaking the finish ages faster and loses appearance. Better to dry after wetting.
* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Thin decorative coating that gradually wears through with regular wear and friction. Wear shows fairly quickly at points where buckle or snap contacts the strap, ring or fur.
* Surface is designed to change over time. Ageing deepens the character of the finish — the product looks different after a year than when new, and that is intentional, not a defect. Each piece ages slightly differently.
