## Description and construction

Massive metal slide buckle with perfectly smooth finished edges. Used most often as a tightening or shortening component. Excellent for use in making luggage (trunks, backpacks, purses, bags and cases) or sporting (suspension webbing etc.) and canine equipment (collars). The parameter values shown in the table refer to the inside height/width of each opening, not to overall dimensions of the tri-glide buckle. Choose from sizes 20–50 mm.

Compared to version #Z4013/17 AB, this heavy slide buckle has a larger inside clearance, which makes it suitable for use with heavier, thicker straps "sturdier construction".


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates contact with water — rain, wet grass, damp hands. With regular soaking the finish ages faster and loses appearance. Better to dry after wetting.
* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Thin decorative coating that gradually wears through with regular wear and friction. Wear shows fairly quickly at points where buckle or snap contacts the strap, ring or fur.
* Surface is designed to change over time. Ageing deepens the character of the finish — the product looks different after a year than when new, and that is intentional, not a defect. Each piece ages slightly differently.
