## Description and construction

Spike stud 12 mm high with brass plated surface treatment  is an eye-catching decoration that can be employed to enhance footwear, purses, belts, or dog collars. Sold in packs of 100 pcs.

Attach to leather of fabric using the #8109-00 setter. It is necessary to hammer the spike onto the corrugated prong to achieve a firm hold. For perfect hold we recommend material up to 6 mm thick.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates contact with water — rain, wet grass, damp hands. With regular soaking the finish ages faster and loses appearance. Better to dry after wetting.
* Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.
* Thin decorative coating that gradually wears through with regular wear and friction. Wear shows fairly quickly at points where buckle or snap contacts the strap, ring or fur.
* At points of regular friction — typically the buckle edge, snap contact point or strap — the finish gradually wears through and the base material shows beneath.
