The saddler’s rivet button is a classic that never lets you down. The four-part construction creates a strong connection you can snap open and closed practically forever, without losing quality or strength. It stands up to washing, weather, and daily heavy use. Sure, hook-and-loop fasteners are quick, but these snaps will last you for years without needing replacement.

Where do they work best?

Clothing, bags, wallets, even outdoor gear—anywhere you need a reliable closure.
Textiles, tarpaulin, faux leather, or real leather—it handles a wide range of materials.

For riveting with the #3990-00 hand press, use pistons #3992-805-15. For manual riveting, use tool #8101-805-15. Pick the right piston or setter size according to your snap size—or just choose the right tool from the recommended products below.

Riveting notice: Stainless steel is incredibly tough. However, because of its high hardness, the top cap of the snap fastener might slightly deform during setting. This is a natural characteristic of the material and doesn't affect the strength or functionality of the joint in any way.

If you need the cap to stay perfectly smooth even after setting, we recommend going with the #B-SS805-15 variant. Its visible top cap is made of softer brass, while the other three parts remain sturdy stainless steel.


## Limits and maintenance

* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
