## Description and construction

Use this double-sided Chicago screw for belts and collars or to join two materials. It has two parts: a hollow post with an internal thread and a head with a slot for a flat screwdriver, which works as a closed nut, and a matching screw that tightens the joint. A screwed joint comes apart quickly, for example when you change a belt buckle. Finish: antique brass. The price is for the whole pack (100 pcs).

How to choose the right screw length?

Choose the screw length to suit the total thickness of the materials you are joining, whether you are working with leather, webbing or something else. The length of the screw post (value B in the table) should be 2 mm less than that thickness.

Tip: To keep the joint from working loose over time, put a drop of Loctite® 243 #1918997 thread-locking adhesive on the thread before you screw it together.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates occasional contact with rain, wet grass or damp hands. Regular soaking accelerates visible wear, so dry the surface after it becomes wet.
* Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.
* Suitable for normal everyday use. Traces of wear may gradually appear at exposed points with regular friction or contact with other metal parts.
* At points of regular friction (typically the buckle edge, snap contact point or strap) the finish gradually wears through and the base material shows beneath.

Yes, the smallest quantity is one bag of rivets or 100 snaps. We don't offer smaller packs.

Rivets and Chicago screws are sold in bags. Most bags contain 100 pcs, bags of rhinestone rivets also 50 pcs, and bags of eyelets and cap rivets usually 1,000 pcs. Brass and stainless steel Chicago screws and some double cap rivets also come in bags of 10.
