## Description and construction

Brass rope clamp, is an ideal choice for joining 14–16 mm thick rope. It is designed with strength of the join in mind essential when making leads and longe lines for horses. To achieve a reliable join, it is necessary to combine the clamp with other methods (such as welding or sewing through).

Attaching the clamp to a rope is simple and can be done by hand using a rubber mallet #19255 and hard pad.

TIP: Brass naturally oxidizes and darkens over time – it’s not a defect, just the metal reacting with air. You can restore its shine with #SITOL300G paste. To prevent darkening, apply the clear lacquer #637005/GLOSSY.


## Limits and maintenance

* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
