## Description and construction

A special punch designed to give perfect wedge-shaped end to leather straps up to 50 mm wide. High-quality design of the tool makes it is easy to work with and leaves smooth and clean edges. Hand forged from Swedish steel.

To preserve keen edge on the punches, we recommend using #2015-00 wax and #3464-00 protection plate (see video).


## Limits and maintenance

* Water causes corrosion, swelling, mould or other damage. Must be dried immediately after wetting, and even then permanent deterioration is a risk.
* Without surface treatment it will start to rust as soon as it comes into contact with moisture. Rust gradually compromises both function and appearance — surface protection is a necessity.
* To keep the material in good condition and looking good, it needs regular attention — treating, oiling or impregnating. Neglect significantly shortens its lifespan.
* Without a protective surface finish it deteriorates functionally and visually over time. Manifests as colour loss, surface roughening or the formation of rust.
