## Description and construction

The XSpyder metal buckle is built for projects where plastic just won't cut it. Compared to plastic side release buckles, it offers greater strength while keeping the same one-press release with both buttons. When making collars, harnesses, or backpacks, it also saves you the hassle of punching holes that traditional prong buckles require. The buckle is made by Herm. Sprenger from durable Zamak zinc alloy.

Safety and Material Care

Locking mechanism: Both buttons must be pressed simultaneously to release the buckle, preventing accidental unfastening.
    Rounded edges: Rounded edges won't cut into the strap and help reduce wear over time.

Practical Tips for Making and Maintenance

    Need to adjust strap length? The buckle doesn't allow continuous length adjustment, so add a separate slide buckle to your design if you need an adjustable collar or belt.
Great for heavier materials: The metal buckle weighs more than its plastic counterpart, so it works best with sturdy leather goods and heavy-duty straps.
    Easy maintenance: If sand or dried mud gets into the mechanism, simply rinse the buckle with water.
    Surface durability: The nickel-plated finish holds up well under everyday use. Prolonged contact with salt water or harsh chemicals may damage the surface over time.

* Protects the underlying material during typical outdoor exposure to rain, dew and occasional wetting. It may not be sufficient for permanently wet environments.
* Suitable for normal everyday use. Traces of wear may gradually appear at exposed points with regular friction or contact with other metal parts.
* Gradually loses some of its original gloss and may change tone slightly. This is a visual change and does not by itself affect the function of the part.
