## Description and construction

This metal Euro buckle is cast from a zinc alloy (zamak). It has an open-frame design with no solid side bars. The E-shaped male part slides directly into the center channel of the female piece.

Depending on the selected size, the buckle withstands tensile loads from 155 to 206 kg while weighing just 16 to 39 grams. Compared with standard zinc alloy buckles, your collars, harnesses or tactical gear gain greater strength without unnecessary extra weight.

Why fit collars and backpacks with this Euro buckle

Easy to use in cold weather: The low resistance of the spring arms lets you release the buckle quickly even with thick gloves on.
Gentle on animals: The smooth underside prevents fur from catching and stops the buckle from rubbing against a dog's neck.
Universal compatibility: The openings fit all strap types in our range, including waterproof and polypropylene webbing.

If the mechanism gets clogged with sand or mud from the trail, just rinse the buckle under clean water to keep the spring arms moving as they should.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates occasional contact with rain, wet grass or damp hands. Regular soaking accelerates visible wear, so dry the surface after it becomes wet.
* Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.
* Suitable for normal everyday use. Traces of wear may gradually appear at exposed points with regular friction or contact with other metal parts.
* Gradually loses some of its original gloss and may change tone slightly. This is a visual change and does not by itself affect the function of the part.
