## Description and construction

A metal side-release buckle made from zinc alloy with a gray finish is suitable for the production of collars, straps, belts, backpacks, and other leather goods. Compared to plastic versions, it gives the finished product a more distinctive and premium look. It pairs well with other hardware in the same finish, allowing you to create a visually consistent product.

The buckle features a slightly curved shape, making it ideal for products where not only function but also comfortable fit on the finished product is important. It is available in 8 sizes, making it easy to choose the right option for your specific application.

Notice:

We do not recommend washing products with this hardware in a washing machine or drying them in a tumble dryer. If the product gets wet, we recommend drying it thoroughly. Prolonged exposure to moisture is not suitable for the internal fastening mechanism. At low temperatures, zinc alloy may be more sensitive to impact, so we do not recommend exposing frozen hardware to shocks or rough handling.

Due to its smaller width, this buckle cannot be used in combination with our waterproof straps in sizes 15 and 40 mm.


## Limits and maintenance

* Handles typical outdoor conditions without issue — rain, mud, moisture, sweat. No need to dry or treat specially after every water contact.
* Reliably protects the underlying material during typical outdoor use — rain, dew, occasional wetting. May not be sufficient for permanently wet environments.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
