## Description and construction

This 80 mm long snap hook has a breaking load of up to 197 kg and weighs 31 g, less than a baguette. It suits leashes for a Beagle, Cocker Spaniel or Border Collie in both size and weight: it won't weigh the leash down.

The snap hook is the most stressed point on a leash and the first thing your customer notices. Pick the finish to match the rest of the hardware on the leash.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates occasional contact with rain, wet grass or damp hands. Regular soaking accelerates visible wear, so dry the surface after it becomes wet.
* Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.
* Suitable for normal everyday use. Traces of wear may gradually appear at exposed points with regular friction or contact with other metal parts.
* At points of regular friction (typically the buckle edge, snap contact point or strap) the finish gradually wears through and the base material shows beneath.
