## Description and construction

Magnetic closure snap with (antique brass) surface finish that will lend your product a hallmark of luxury. The clasp, intended for a purse, case, or wallet, consists of 4 pieces. 

How to set Magnetic Snaps – and what tools to use

Magnetic Snaps can be riveted using hand press #3990-00 along with die set #3992-MB-10. For manual riveting, use the hand-setting tool (also known as a cap setter) #8101-MB-10. The size of the die or setter must always match the size of the snap. Or simply scroll down to the recommended products below – the correct setting tool will show up automatically based on the Magnetic Snap size you've selected.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates contact with water — rain, wet grass, damp hands. With regular soaking the finish ages faster and loses appearance. Better to dry after wetting.
* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Thin decorative coating that gradually wears through with regular wear and friction. Wear shows fairly quickly at points where buckle or snap contacts the strap, ring or fur.
* Surface is designed to change over time. Ageing deepens the character of the finish — the product looks different after a year than when new, and that is intentional, not a defect. Each piece ages slightly differently.
