Installation and Accessories

⚠️ Warning: The fastening consists of two parts (top/bottom part). To complete the fastening, you need to purchase both parts separately.

    Punching holes: To create a hole, use a punch with a diameter of 10 mm, which can be purchased separately #3777-14, #KEM/LSHP100 or as part of a set #24690, #KEM/LSHP/14SET.
    Assembly and tightening: For occasional tightening, the small wrench #04492.05000 is ideal. For regular work, we recommend the large wrench #04500.00000. The fastener can be used on materials up to 3 mm thick.
Choose the right washer for your material: A standard flat washer is suitable for materials up to 3 mm thick. For thicker full-grain leather (3–4 mm), however, use the LOXX® high washer. A standard washer would only engage a few threads, causing the fastener to loosen over time. The higher-profile washer allows the thread to engage more deeply, creating a secure connection while saving you the time-consuming task of skiving the leather.

## Limits and maintenance

* Handles typical outdoor conditions without issue — rain, mud, moisture, sweat. No need to dry or treat specially after every water contact.
* Reliably protects the underlying material during typical outdoor use — rain, dew, occasional wetting. May not be sufficient for permanently wet environments.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
