## Description and construction

A detail that shouldn’t distract on the finished product. A flat keeper made from cast stainless steel helps keep the loose end of the strap in place and maintain a clean, streamlined look. The smooth finish reduces abrasion on both the strap and surrounding material.

  Finish: Matte Black – matches other hardware in our range, so the final result feels cohesive.
  Rounded edges: Won’t wear down the strap or leather and help protect the material at contact points.
  Smooth operation: Inner edges won’t snag. The strap passes through cleanly and stays securely in place.


## Limits and maintenance

* Handles typical outdoor conditions without issue — rain, mud, moisture, sweat. No need to dry or treat specially after every water contact.
* Reliably protects the underlying material during typical outdoor use — rain, dew, occasional wetting. May not be sufficient for permanently wet environments.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
