## Description and construction

Never use a knife again to finish a buttonhole. Punch a perfect button hole every time with this high quality punch. If you use button studs with your projects, this is a tool you’ll want to be sure to add to your workshop. Punch is designed to our Button Studs.

 A punch (4 mm) is recommended when setting this type of buttons #SK-6, #SK-6 AB, #SK-6 BN, #SK-6 BP. A punch (5 mm) is recommended when setting this type of buttons #SK-10, #SK-10 AB, #SK-10 BN. Saddlery buttons are available in three color combinations. To preserve keen edge on the punches, we recommend using #2015-00 wax and #3464-00 protection plate.

Important: This product is NOT SUITABLE for punching waterproof webbings or BioThane®. For these materials, we recommend using dedicated punching dies:

    Punches Ø 3–4 mm: for small holes for rivets and buckle tongues, minimizing damage to the webbing's load-bearing core.
    Punches Ø 5.2–6 mm: a 5.2 mm hole is intended for E10x5.2 eyelets, while a 6 mm hole is designed for E12x6.0 eyelets.


## Limits and maintenance

* Water causes corrosion, swelling, mould or other damage. Must be dried immediately after wetting, and even then permanent deterioration is a risk.
* Without surface treatment it will start to rust as soon as it comes into contact with moisture. Rust gradually compromises both function and appearance — surface protection is a necessity.
* To keep the material in good condition and looking good, it needs regular attention — treating, oiling or impregnating. Neglect significantly shortens its lifespan.
* Without a protective surface finish it deteriorates functionally and visually over time. Manifests as colour loss, surface roughening or the formation of rust.
