## Description and construction

For 4 mm wide lace. Made from 41xx steel, these chisels have incredible strength and toughness due to the case hardening process after the chisels are formed. Beautifully finished with a black electrophoresis coating to prevent surface corrosion and provide wear resistance. These elite chisels will perform like a charm and provide you years of use.


## Limits and maintenance

* Water causes corrosion, swelling, mould or other damage. Must be dried immediately after wetting, and even then permanent deterioration is a risk.
* Without surface treatment it will start to rust as soon as it comes into contact with moisture. Rust gradually compromises both function and appearance — surface protection is a necessity.
* To keep the material in good condition and looking good, it needs regular attention — treating, oiling or impregnating. Neglect significantly shortens its lifespan.
* Without a protective surface finish it deteriorates functionally and visually over time. Manifests as colour loss, surface roughening or the formation of rust.
